Hospital Manager


Brooke Lichford , LVT

Brooke joined the PVAH team in 2006 after graduating from VA Tech with a B.S. in Animal & Poultry Science. She completed the Cedar Valley College Distance Education Program and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2010. She has an interest in practicing in the internal and emergency medicine fields, and has developed wonderful relationships with numerous clients through our technician appointment program. Brooke became the Hospital Manager in November of 2015, and has truly enjoyed this new endeavor and embraced her new role with open arms. When she is not working at PVAH she spends her time on the family farm (Hidden Springs Farm) riding horses, chasing her 2 adorably fun labs, and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Client Service Team


Bea Bea Coleman

BeaBea lives in Lynchburg with her husband Dennis, and 3 dogs Woody, Josie and Georgia. She has worked for Dr. Henry since December 1989 and joined our team with our opening in 2000. She loves the beach, spending time with her family, reading, and spends a great deal of her spare time pet sitting.


Heather McDowell

Heather lives in Lynchburg with her husband Matt, and her 3 dogs Bunz, Ren and Scarlett. She has been with PVAH since 2004. In her free time she and her husband travel to various places trying to catch paranormal activity. In addition, she loves spending tie with her daughter JoHannah and also does a lot of pet sitting. In the summer, you will find her living it up at Smith Mountain Lake.


Lori Owen, LVT

Lori has worked for Dr. Henry since June of 1999 and joined Peaks View with our opening in 2000. She is a 2005 graduate of Cedar Valley College’s Veterinary Technology School. She lives in Bedford County wit her husband Mike, son John, daughter Jessi, and her 6 dogs. She stays busy in her free time with her family, her boxers, and petsitting.


Cindy Giuliano

Cindy has been with PVAH since 2006. She lives near Brookneal with her husband Bill, 4 dogs, and a herd of cats. She loves gardening, reading, and going to concerts.


Kaye Ogden

Kaye started working at PVAH in June of 2013. She started out working tin the lab/pharmacy area and is now in reception. She lives with her significant other on their farm with 6 dogs, 6 cats, chickens, donkeys, and cows. In her spare time she likes taking care of her animals, reading, and babysitting her precious granddaughter.


Nena Middleton

Nena just joined our clinic in 2016. She lives in Madison Heights with her husband Shannon, daughter Destiny, 2 dogs Chelsea and Princess, and a turtle named Digger. She has over 12 years experience working with animals. In her spare time she enjoys seeing her little sister and hanging out with her family.


Jerusha (JR) Caldwell

“JR” started volunteering for Dr. Henry when she was young and became a member of the staff team in 1996. She continues to work at the front desk on Sunday nights. JR lives in Lynchburg with her husband Jake, 5 children, 2 dogs, and cat, but usually has a few more animals staying at her house. She has a passion for fostering animals and giving them a second chance. Her oldest daughter Nina joined PVAH in 2015, but has been hanging around since she was a baby. Two of her dogs and cat were PVAH rescues. She works in the kennel on Saturdays and when she is off from school.

Lab/Pharmacy Team


Anne Marr

Anne has been part of the Peaks View team since it opened in 2000, and previously worked for Dr. Mulligan at Forest Hill Animal Hospital since 1995. She loves meeting all the clients and pets that come into the practice and enjoys helping pets become happy and healthy with modern technology and compassionate care. At home she lives with her husband Jimmy and in her spare time she enjoys beach trips, spending time with her family, and lots of shopping.


Ann Brill

Ann joined PVAH in 2009 after relocating to the area with her husband from Central New York. She enjoys interacting with clients in exam rooms and the duties involved with the lab/pharmacy area of the hospital. When home, she stays busy gardening and taking care of her dog (Lily), cat (Maggie), parrot (Wally), chickens and especially her pot-bellied pig (Rosebud).


Clay Hunter

Clay joined the PVAH team in 2008. He has a degree in Biology from UVA and loves working in the lab/pharmacy area of the hospital. He lives in Forest with his yellow lab Conon and his one-eyed cat Uno. Clay loves music and going to concerts with friends and family.


Jessica Dotson

Jessica started working in the Kennel in 2014, and has now transferred to the lab/pharmacy area. She lives in Lynchburg with her 4 cats-Simon Johnson, Cupcake, Peppers, and Amelia. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her little sister and 2 nieces.


Veronica Bostic

Veronica joined the PVAH team in 2016 after working with another animal hospital. She is currently studying to become a licensed veterinary technician. Veronica lives in Rustburg with her husband, daughter, 5 dogs, 1 cat, iguana, and chickens. She spends her spare time enjoying the outdoors camping with family, playing with her daughter Brittany, and traveling to new places.

Treatment Room Team


Angie Franklin, LVT

Angie joined PVAH in 2002 and completed the Cedar Valley College Distance Education Program in 2007 to become a Licensed Technician. She enjoys her role in the technician appointment program and has special interests in critical care nursing, neonatal care, and geriatric medicine. She has a passion for wildlife and exotic medicine also. Angie spends her time outside of work with her two sons JL and Levi. Her family is completed by her oldest “furry” child Loreli, a fun loving and adorable Frenchie.


Kirstin Davy, LVT

Kirstin joined PVAH in the fall of 2014. She graduated from Mount Ida College in Newton Center, Massachusetts, where she earned her veterinary technician licensure. Kirstin has relocated south from Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts with her son Rowan and miniature pinscher Captain Zeb. Within her first month at PVAH she adopted a terrier mix named Kimber from LHS. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. As well as working with small animals, she is a Certified Equine Massage Therapist. In her spare time Kirstin and her son ride and play with their horses and dogs.


Heather Poindexter, LVT

Heather joined PVAH in 2010. She is a 2010 graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Agricultural Technology (emphasis in Animal Science) and a 2015 graduate of Cedar Valley College with a degree in Veterinary Technology. Heather works in our treatment area and has a passion for all aspects of veterinary medicine. She especially enjoys working with our reptile and “pocket pet” patients. Her personal zoo consists of 3 spoiled horses, 1 hyperactive dog, and 3 lazy cats. In her free time, Heather enjoys horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her husband BJ and son Joseph.


Anjulea Overstreet, LVT

Anjulea has been with us since 2007. She graduated from Cedar Valley College in May of 2017, where she gained her Veterinary Technology degree. Her true love is with large animals, especially sheep, pigs, goats, and cattle. Anjulea finds great joy caring for all of the pets that visit Peaks View Animal Hospital. Away from the clinic, she keeps herself busy working two other jobs. When she does have free time, you can find her spending quality time with her husband and three beautiful daughters.

Dana Younger, LVT

Dana has been working at Peaks View since 2017, when she and her husband were able to move back closer to home. She has 13 years experience working in veterinary medicine and has moved around Virginia a few times with her husband due to his job with the State Parks. She is a 2009 graduate of Northern VA Community College’s Veterinary Technology program and is especially interested in the fields of emergency medicine, anesthesia and behavior. She enjoys camping, traveling and reading in her spare time. Her family currently includes two pit bulls and three cats (all rescues), and she and her husband are expecting their first child this summer.


Renee Carter

Renee has been with us on our treatment team since 2011. She has worked with animals for 12 years. She lives in Lynchburg with her husband Jermaine, son Javion, 2 dogs Foxy and Snoopy, and cat Weezy. In her spare time she enjoys going camping and hiking with her family.


Meg Powers, LVT Student

Meg has been working at PVAH since September 2014. She has a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut. She started out as a member of our kennel staff, but has recently joined the treatment team.


Michaela Lukin, LVT Student

Michaela started at PVAH in 2017. She is currently enrolled in Cedar Valley Distance education program to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has an interest in dentistry and zoology. In her free time, she enjoys going on adventures with her son and playing with her adorable beagle.


Jenna Lawson

Jenna joined our team in August 2016. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Animal Science from NC State and worked as a zookeeper at the Duke Lemur Center after graduating. She was born and raised in Lynchburg and has recently moved back with her husband Mat and three spoiled dogs. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and reading.

Animal Care Team


Mike Hanna, Kennel Manager

Mike is the kennel manager and has been at PVAH since January 2011. He enjoys having the opportunity of caring and interacting with all the animals he see’s throughout his day. Mike looks forward to furthering his education in animal behavior. When he’s not at Peaks View, Mike loves spending his time at his home in Bedford with his girlfriend and all his rescued furry friends. He adores his two pit-mixes and his 6 cats. Mike also has reptiles and amphibians at home that he enjoys caring for. He spends his free time enjoying nature and art.


Gip Hobbs

Gip has been a member of the Peaks View team since the summer of 2014. Originally from Lynchburg, Gip is a 2012 graduate of the University of Georgia with a B.A. in History, but is interested in pursuing a career in Veterinary Medicine. With currently only one pet at home, a 3 year old kitty named Callie, his favorite part of working in the kennel is providing TLC for his “adopted pets” while they are boarding. He also especially enjoys assisting in the lab and treatment areas when an extra hand is needed. During his spare time, Gip loves playing sports, reading, and taking long naps on the couch.


Courtney Eubank

Courtney graduated in 2015 from Virginia Tech with a degree in Agricultural Technology (emphasis in Animal Science), and joined our team shortly after graduation for an working internship. She has an interest in Dairy Science and is considering Veterinary Medicine as well. Courtney lives in Bedford with her 3 adopted cats (Tuxedo Man, Isabelle, and Stevie) and her 2 dogs Jojo and Charlie. In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing with her adorable cats and dogs, and swimming.


Tabatha Fewox

Tabatha joined PVAH in September of 2017. She loves tending to all of the animals. She has plans to become an LVT in the near future. Tabatha spends her free time with her family and her dog Macy.
