Dr. Saunders is originally from West Virginia and graduated from Marshall University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry in 2016. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in May 2020. She then joined PVAH in June. She worked at a small animal clinic during college. Dr. Saunders also shadowed a mixed animal veterinarian and a zoo veterinarian temporarily. During veterinary school, she externed at multiple small animal practices in West Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and North Carolina. Dr. Saunders has an interest in preventative medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and rehabilitation. She enjoys hiking, swimming, and exploring new places.
